Learning Support Assistant - PMLD - Medway

Tradewind is actively recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Medway, assisting pupils with PMLD. This role is available for an immediate start and is full-time. It is a temporary long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide focused support to students with PMLD needs, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to implement personalised strategies for individual students.
- Deliver one-on-one support and small group interventions to aid academic and social development.
- Foster a nurturing and positive atmosphere to promote emotional well-being and resilience.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, encouraging positive behaviour and social skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with students with PMLD needs is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Understanding of PMLD and its effects on learning and behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic school environment.
- Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undergo training.
- This position requires an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
