We are seeking a Forklift Driver to join our team in Basildon. This role requires operating forklifts safely and efficiently. Candidates with a reach licence are preferred, however, those with an in-date counterbalance licence are also encouraged to apply. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule and is ideal for someone looking for stable early morning shifts.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Operate forklift equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Ensure the safe and efficient handling of goods and materials.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure operational safety and performance.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment in the facilities.
- Report any discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid reach or counterbalance forklift licence.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Driver.
- Good understanding of modern warehousing practices and methods.
- Excellent coordination and organisational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- High degree of attention to detail.
