Salary: £32,000-£36,000 (negotiable) + benefits
We are recruiting an Assistant Branch Manager for a very well respected Merchants of Building Products / Construction Supplies at their branch in the Ashford Area of Kent.
This is a critical role on the management side, helping drive forward the sales and profitability of the business. This Assistant Branch Manager role is a great opportunity and incorporates great potential to develop within the company in the future. The importance of this role is reflected in the financial package on offer.
It is an important position within the company and the Ashford branch has a great team in there. As the Assistant Branch Manager you will be involved all aspects of the depot. We are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager who is an all-rounder with Sales and Operations.
Our client is one of the UKs leading independent builders merchants with an extensive branch network. Renowned for their extensive range of products, and competitive prices, they are able to provide support across many specialised areas such as fencing, timber and heavy side building materials.

As Assistant Branch / Depot Manager, working alongside the Branch Manager you will have complete responsibility for the day-to-day management of a highly successful branch including:
- Driving the continued growth of the business
- Profit & loss responsibility
- Staff development and coaching
- Ensuring that health and safety is adhered to at all times.
You will be commercially astute with a proven ability to influence staff members and drive sales.

- Builders Merchants Experience?
- Construction Supplies Sales Experience?
- Management experience within the Builders Merchants?
- Internal Sales, Yard Manager or Transport Manager Experience?
- Or, are you a Branch Manager of tomorrow?
