Account Handler

An exceptional opportunity for an Insurance Account Handler to join our client who is a leading insurance broker based in Guildford. This is a chance to join a dynamic and ambitious Real Estate team known for their incredible energy, determination, and collaborative spirit.

The Role:

  • Manage a portfolio of Real Estate clients.
  • Creating documents for new customers, along with any mid-term adjustments and renewals information.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Identify and assess risk exposures to offer tailored insurance solutions
  • Prepare renewal closings from meeting minutes and ensure cover is bound by renewal date.
  • Liaise with clients and insurers. Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies and chase up outstanding documentation when required.
  • Deal with account queries and credit control matters highlighting any concerns.
  • Apply fundamental legal and regulatory policy in relation to internal policies and the insurance contract as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience as an Account Handler (Personal Lines or Commercial) is preferable.
  • Holding or working towards a Chartered Insurance Institute Qualification (Cert CII desirable).
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to work to targets within a regulated environment and achieve SLA's.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport-building.
  • Due diligence and process-driven with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Highly accurate with a strong attention to detail and initiative.
  • Experience using Acturis (full training provided if needed).
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

The Package:

  • Competitive salary dependant on experience
  • Flexible working arrangements: 4 days in the office initially, moving to 3 days after 6 months.
