Right Now Group are looking for an experienced Import Customs Operator to work with our busy client based in Heathrow.
Location: Heathrow
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
Hours: 09:00 - 17:30
Salary: £33,000
Responsibilities of an Import Customs Operator:
- Providing a full start to finish documentation of exports
- Monitoring and managing the multiple shared mailboxes
- Discussions with airlines and handling agents to arrange all bookings of shipments
- Providing pre-alerts to the customers and network
- Ensuring all documents have been completed and prepared for secure cargo and handover to transport
- Prioritising tasks with your team to ensure all required deadlines are met
Skills of an Import Customs Operator:
- A minimum of three years working within freight forwarding
- Extensive experience within the pharmaceutical field
- Proven knowledge of the air industry and customer requirements is required for this role
- The ability to make good decisions best inline to meet company standards
- Customs knowledge is required
- Clear proven customer service skills
- The ability to be flexible and adaptive
- Workload management skills to work well under pressure
