Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Fridays only)

Location: Wembley, Brent

About the Role:

Tradewind are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant for a unique opportunity supporting on a 1-1 basis at a mainstream Further Education setting in Wembley (Brent). This is a sports specialist college for 16 to 24 year olds. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students across a wide range of needs and learning abilities, as well as a passion for sports.

This role would initially involve working Fridays only and therefore would be best suited for a university student or someone looking for part-time work. In future, there may be an opportunity to increase the number of days worked.

This opportunity includes the added benefit of consistent work through most school holidays (including summer and half terms).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with SEND, aiding in their academic and personal development.
  • This student is studying towards a Level 3 Sport Qualification, as well as their GCSEs in Maths and English.
  • Collaborate closely with educators to execute tailored learning plans.
  • Cultivate an engaging, inclusive, and vibrant classroom atmosphere.
  • Provide personalised assistance to students on an individual basis.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with learners with SEND is highly preferred.
  • Previous work experience or study in Sports or Physical Education, or somebody who has a passion for sports.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a compassionate approach.
  • Exhibit a genuine passion for fostering the growth and development of diverse learners.
  • Available on Fridays from 8th November onwards.
  • Hold a Child and Adult Enhanced DBS (or be wiling to apply for one).
