Finance Manager - IT2A Transformation

About the role

IT2A function consists of Information Technology (IT) and Advanced Analytics (also known as Data Office). The primary responsibility of this support function is drive value for Boots and International markets through providing Infrastructure and analytics (both internally and externally) capability. The function includes number of domains led by senior leaders – VPs, Directors and Senior managers.

Reporting to the Head of Finance – (IT2A) Transformation, the Finance Manager role plays a key part in supporting the IT2A and Business Transformation Projects across Walgreens Boots Alliance International.

In this role, you will interact across all levels of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

Business partnering

Be the Finance Business Partner of designated projects by:

  • Partner with the project leaders (Managers and Directors) to drive strong financial rigour and governance.
  • Hold leaders to account for their project commitments by leading the budgeting & forecasting process and monthly financial reviews.
  • Drive value by challenging leaders and encourage outside the box thinking.
  • Represent finance in multiple leadership teams and steering committees.
  • Ensure all aspects of month end commitments are met and R&O are communicated to Finance and Project leaders appropriately.
  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiency in processes by further automation and elimination of non-value add tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with other finance and functional teams (Control, Tax, Treasury, Procurement etc.) as necessary.

What you'll need to have

  • Qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent with post qualification experience
  • The ability to inspire trust, financial discipline and reliability
  • Previous experience of management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Be inclusive and advocate collaborative ways of working
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and previous working knowledge of SAP
