Employment Basis: Permanent

Location: Gloucester (hybrid working, 2 days WHF)

Salary: c£25,000

Due to internal promotion, Reed is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join the commercial operations team, of a growing Gloucester-based retailer. This role is crucial in maintaining optimal stock levels to meet service level agreements with customers while keeping inventory within budget. The Supply Chain Coordinator will manage all aspects of production planning with subcontract manufacturers, ensuring effective communication and issue management.

The successful candidate will work proactively with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve the most efficient supply plan.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Oversee production at subcontract manufacturing sites to meet volume targets.
  • Update factory production plans and maintain accurate records in SAP systems.
  • Chair regular factory meetings for on-time, in-full delivery.
  • Manage raw material stock on a just-in-time basis.
  • Collaborate with finance for accurate costing and process adherence.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice queries promptly.
  • Prepare month-end reports on unfulfilled demand and raw materials.
  • Participate in efficiency improvement projects.
  • Create and maintain reports for the supply manager as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong planning skills with a logical and curious mindset.
  • Broad supply chain understanding and impact awareness.
  • A confident verbal communicator who can constructively challenge.
  • Detail-oriented and data-savvy.
  • Commercially aware, driving sales results and customer service.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel is desirable.
