IT Manager
My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to join their dynamic law firm. The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm's technology infrastructure, ensuring that our IT systems are reliable, secure, and efficient. This role requires someone with a hands-on approach to manage the daily operations, long-term planning, and continuous improvement of the firm's technology resources.
Salary: From £45,000
Location: Lincolnshire
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of all hardware and software systems.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of servers, networks, and other critical IT infrastructure.
- Manage data backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to safeguard the firm's data and systems.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory requirements related to data security and privacy, ensuring compliance.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and process improvements.
- Work closely with other departments to understand their technology needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Develop and implement the firm's IT strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions for the firm.
- Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and security.
- Proven experience with project management and leading IT projects.
- Experience with legal practice management software and familiarity with legal technology solutions is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as CITM, CISSP, or ITIL are a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Practical experience with Office 365 Admin Centre, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
