Data Asset Migration Lead

Quote to Cash - CPQ Asset Migration Lead

The main focus of the program is to migrate assets from unsupported legacy platforms (primarily Siebel) to a new Salesforce CPQ platform. An Asset Migration Lead is required to supervise work related Asset Migrations for the Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Thought leadership and working closely with Technology teams and senior partners to shape and agree standard approaches, plans and tools related to data readiness and migrations.

  • Lead execution of Migrations work including:

  • Data validation

- Reviewing, analyzing and cleaning of customer's assets which are in pipeline for migrations. This is done in advance of core migration run.

  • Migration Tooling

- Partner with Technology team and Migration Teams to seek improvements to current tooling to enable asset migration ramp up and reduction of current 2-week migration run.

  • Account Managers

- Work with Account Managers during pre-migration. Review exclusion feedback and challenge where applicable. Build confidence for the change that is coming and optimize positive results

  • Partner Management

- Bi-weekly meetings with key partners to discuss, plan and mitigate any concerns for the change approaching.

  • Workstream Lead Collaboration

- Align with workstream leads with readiness for migrations. Weekly working groups to be initiated prior to UAT to plan migration of products.

  • Workstream Management Meetings

- Organize and steer weekly meetings with quorum to ensure plans are understood, mitigation plans are in place, track and report issues back to Program Director.

  • Technical Releases

- Partner with Technology teams for Technical Releases aligning migrations with the ELS period to ensure fully used.

  • Mock-run

- Prior to performing migration activities in production, an end-to-end mock-run is implemented in non-production environments (UAT or Pre-prod). This is a full dress-rehearsal run to establish confidence ahead of core migration.

  • Migration run

- Execution of steps defined in migrations' run-book thereby lifting and shifting assets and their entitlements from Legacy (Siebel and Genesis) to Salesforce CPQ infrastructure.

  • Data reconciliation

- Running data reconciliation and post validation checks for confirming success of migrations run. This is a mix of manual and automated steps that are performed by migration business SMEs and members of Core Technology teams.

  • Business Readiness

- Coordination with key program partners impacted by each migration batch, establish prior agreements on Account Bill-block and order orchestration freeze, organize user trainings if needed, create user licenses required during trainings, communicate progress status at all stages of migration execution.

  • Business Change Support

- Assist Business Change for Q2C communication effort with design, development, delivery and management of key migration communications distributed including Q2C Connect Page and Townhalls. Ensure engagement post migration to review user experience lessons learnt and where improvements can be adopted prior to next migration.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of D&A business, products and assets
