About us:
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and has experience or a keen interest in lighting products. This is not a standard assembly role and requires someone who likes challenge and variety.
We are a growing family-run business and have recently set up a new warehouse in Swindon. An important aspect of our business is making sure our products fit the needs of the customers and not the other way round. We are extremely passionate and proud of our products, and we are looking for someone to share the same passion.
About the role:
You will be joining us at an exciting time, and your contribution will play an important part in meeting customers' requirements.
Your days will be kept busy adapting our products to customers' needs whether it's to make it bespoke or to upgrade existing products. It is not a production line as each job will be different and requires good technical and electrical know-how. You must be extremely safety conscious and feel comfortable wiring, soldering and making changes to our products (e.g. fitting a new driver or adding an emergency module).
About you:
It is essential that you have knowledge and experience of dealing with lighting, in a commercial or domestic environment. An electrical or wiring qualification or experience in a similar role will be desirable. You must enjoy problem solving, work independently and be able to use your own initiative to find solutions. You will work in a small team and be the line manager for an Assembly operative to coach and develop.
We are looking for someone who can manage the workload unsupervised, have a 'can do' attitude and is able to work efficiently. You must be reliable, have a strong sense of responsibility, flexible, and enjoy working to deadlines.
