We are seeking a mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a well-known manufacturer based in Derbyshire. As a mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will be part of maintenance team of 18 engineers and be required to safely maintain and repair site facilities, plant and equipment and update all relevant documentation.

- Mon to Fri days shift (slight change on start / finish time based on 4 week rotating pattern)

Duties of a Maintenance Engineer
- Perform reactive maintenance and tasks in line with machinery PPM schedules
- Maintain documents to ensure they are correct and up to date
- Assist in continuous improvement ideas and projects
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Report machinery breakdowns / PPM status for shift handover
- Provide realistic time / cost estimates for completion of maintenance tasks
- Assist in the sourcing and purchasing of spare parts and equipment
Skills and experience required:
- Fully apprenticeship trained in mechanical engineering
- Hydraulics and pneumatics experience required
- Welding, Milling and Turning skills would be advantageous
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing, ideally heavy industry sector
