Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of our students. You will play a key role in fostering a positive learning environment that promotes personal growth, independence, and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students with SEND.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student, ensuring that targets are specific, measurable, and achievable.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure that all students receive the appropriate level of support.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and respected.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of each student.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in SEND education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly in a school setting.
  • A strong understanding of various SEND conditions, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), and other learning disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching, with a commitment to inclusive education.
