You're a Fitter, Service Technician or Powered Access Engineer looking to develop your skills and /or learn new hire equipment. Based at our growing Hire Depot, you'll be responsible for testing and repairing our hire fleet. BASIC SALARY: Up to £40,000 DOE

JOB DESCRIPTION: Plant Fitter, Small Tools Technician, Powered Access Engineer - Hire Equipment
As one of our Fitters / Service Technicians you'll be joining one of the UK's fastest growing Powered Access and Tool Hire companies. We're a high energy business so to keep pace with the constantly increasing volume of customers, you'll need to be at the top of your game and handy with the tools.
You'll be responsible for:
- General maintenance and PDI inspections.
- PAT Test Electrical Equipment on Powered Access & Tools.
- Refurbishment of damaged machines & hire fleet.
You'll be working of part of a small but very busy team, so you'll need to be happy working on a wide range of equipment but you will have an opportunity to specialise if you wish to. This is your chance to develop your career.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Plant Fitter, Small Tools Technician, Powered Access Engineer - Hire Equipment.
Ideally, you'll be an experienced Fitter / Service Technician. It would be ideal if have worked on equipment in hire such as:
- Plant, tool, powered access, lifting, crane.
- Welfare, generators, forklifts.
- HGV, agricultural equipment, attachments, hydraulics, hoses or equipment hire.
Ideally you'll be qualified (NVQ, C&G, CAP License ) or Apprenticeship / Time Served. Whatever your level of experience we will offer full equipment training.
Regardless of your background, you will demonstrate:
- Knowledge of fault finding & basic repairs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Above all you'll need to have a love for mechanics and getting stuck in.
