Role- Product Support Team Lead
Salary- £40,000- £45,000 per annum dependent on experience
Type- Permanent
Location- Surrey
My client works within engineering & manufacturing and they are looking to take on a Product Support Team Lead on a permanent basis in the Surrey area. Someone who has worked in a Service Supervisor or Service Manager role in a manufacturing environment would have relevant transferable skills.
The Product Support Team Lead will ideally have the following attributes:
- Have previous experience working in Product Support Lead / After-Sales Service / Service Manager type positions to hit the ground running
- Have previous experience working with engineering / manufacturing
- Previous leadership or managerial experience looking after a small team is essential
- Have an understanding of the product after sales process – installations, service, spares, repairs etc.
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
The Product Support Team Lead role will involve:
- Managing activities related to supporting the companies products in an after sales capacity
- Looking after Installations, Service Contracts and ongoing Product Support
- Team management – including training, reviews, daily support, and being involved with recruitment for this team when needed too
- Managing and maintaining service contracts as well as looking to increase the number of these that the company has as well
- Being involved in planning and overseeing the Installation of the companies products via the Product Support Engineers to ensure these are delivered efficiently
- Overseeing the supply of spares or repairs
- Working with different colleagues across a range of departments
- Being part of the leadership team
