English teachers needed for KS3 & KS4

We are seeking an enthusiastic and vibrant English teacher to join our team in Blackburn, mentoring students at both KS3 and KS4 levels. The daily salary for this role varies between £155 and £230, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching proficiency.

In this role, you'll create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles, conduct assessments to track progress, and provide constructive feedback to enhance student skills. You'll cultivate a supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and creativity.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
  • Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline
  • Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Punctual and reliable

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment

Personal Attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
