Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Recruiting for schools across Kent
Role: Monday to Friday (Full-time, long term in the same school)
Hours: 08:30 am - 15:30 pm
Day rates: £85-90 per day (DOE)
Role Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. You'll work closely with teachers, students, and parents to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or additional needs.
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson materials and activities.
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for students.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Help students develop essential life skills and independence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Education, Psychology, or a related field).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Experience working with children or young adults (volunteer work or internships count).
- A passion for wanting to work within the education sector.
- Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) is desirable but not crucial.
