SRG are working with global company who specialise processing and developing metal products. They are now looking for a Laboratory Technician to join their laboratory team on a temporary contract, at their site based in West Midlands. This role will involve preparing and analysing a range of samples using a range of techniques and instrumentation including ICP, combustion testing and XRF. Candidates with proven industrial experience within a busy, testing environment are encouraged to apply, with material and metal testing experience highly desirable.

Working hours: Mon - Fri, 7am - 3pm. There may be an opportunity to move onto a shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off - 23 hour days in the future.
Role / Description
- Performing analysis of metal and material products
- Using analytical instrumentation for analysis including XRF, ICP, and combustion testing
- Reporting results in a timely fashion under direction and priority
- Supporting in the maintenance and upkeep of analytical equipment
Requirements
- Proven, industrial experience of a busy material testing laboratory
- Metal and material testing experience is desirable
- Work well within a small time with good time management and organisational skills
