We are seeking a dedicated Team Administrator to provide a high-quality Direct Payments purchasing, monitoring, and advice service within the Adults Services. This role ensures the responsible use of public funds and supports individuals effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Input data into the social care information system Mosaic, ensuring timely and accurate recording of Direct Payment services.
  • Set up individuals for payment, ensuring they are paid promptly and accurately.
  • Update information sources and prices on systems, making appropriate amendments to funding.
  • Provide project support for Direct Payment systems and processes.
  • Scrutinise information from individuals to request new creditors for Direct Payments on both Integra and Mosaic.
  • Process regular payment cycles accurately to ensure individuals have the funding required to purchase their assessed support.
  • Manage a caseload to carry out monitoring of Direct Payment prepaid accounts, auditing bank statements, and investigating queries.
  • Analyse bank statements to evaluate the risk level of individuals managing their own direct payment and identify any safeguarding issues.
  • Initiate debt recovery work where Client Contribution payments remain outstanding and negotiate repayment terms with individuals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and best practices in relation to all aspects of Direct Payments processes.
  • Promote the uptake of Direct Payment by running regular training and induction courses for colleagues in Adult Social Services.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in monitoring and data entry.
  • Familiarity with social care information systems, preferably Mosaic.
  • Understanding of processes and legal compliance in a social care context.
  • Basic understanding of employment law including tax, national insurance, and pension requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
