An exciting position has arisen for a Special Events Officer to join a Charity that strives to tackle various health issues. The postholder will be coordinating key Charity exclusive events and maintaining strong relationships with current patrons.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering events within the Special Events Programme, ensuring effective operational management
- Managing event budgets to maximize income in line with targets
- Securing lot donations, raffle prizes, ticket sales, and gifts in kind, nurturing donor relationships
- Monitoring event innovation, trends, and patterns in the Charity sector
- Developing relationships with supporters
- Assisting in producing gala and cultivation events for major donors, corporate supporters, and VIPs
- Supporting marketing efforts for projects, events, and campaigns
- Ensuring the database is up to date and collaborate with the Database team
- Researching suitable prospects for invitation to special events and maintain a database of potential future patrons
- Maintaining strong relationships with current patrons and identify opportunities for their further engagement and support
- Travel for supporter meetings and events in London and the UK, occasionally working evenings and weekends
Successful candidate profile:
- Experience managing special events aimed at high net worth individuals
- Experience of writing creative copy for event materials
- Project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Length: 6 months temp – permanent
Rate: £16-£18 per hour
Hours: 35 per week
Working pattern: 1 day per week in office / 4 days per week remote
