Pay rate: £90.00 - £110.00 per day depending on experience

Duration: Long term with view to go permanent
Active Recruitment are currently working with an Outstanding mainstream Secondary School in Barking and Dagenham who are looking for an experienced Youth Mentor to join them as soon as possible on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year with the view to go permanent. As a Youth Mentor you will play a key role in the educational development and well-being of individuals who would benefit from targeted 1:1 support and group intervention.
Roles and responsibilities of the Youth Mentor:
- Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting high self-esteem and independence
- Promote high standards of behavior, responding to incidents in line with the school's behavior policy and guidelines on physical intervention
- Adapt communication style to respond to pupils according to their individual needs
- Assist with the development and delivery of individual education and support plans
- Support pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs, escalating concerns where appropriate
