Sales Account Manager

I am working with a leading manufacturing company who are seeking a proactive and results-driven Account Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the sales development of the business, focusing on new business through key product promotion and account development. This position requires a self-motivated individual with a proven sales track record.

Day-to-day role of the Sales Account Manager:

  • Monitor profit performance and maintain regular contact with customers to develop professional relationships.
  • Focus on key products to develop the area and customer base, maximising potential profit through various sales strategies.
  • Generate sales leads independently and through our CRM system, liaising with the Area Manager and Sales Director regularly.
  • Respond to incoming sales leads promptly and follow up on all quotations to conclusion.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM and financial systems, ensuring all details and special instructions are up-to-date.
  • Prepare thoroughly for calls or visits with clear objectives and employ good time management to maximise call rates.
  • Adhere to management systems, processes, and procedures, and log any non-conformances promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Sales Account Manager:

  • At least 1 year's sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Formal sales training is essential.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • A team player with a personable telephone manner and good personal presentation.
  • Due to the location candidates MUST drive and have their own transport.
