Teaching Assistant required to provide 1-2-1 and small group support for children with SEMH needs. Are you Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Residential Support Worker looking for a new challenge at an outstanding school? This school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join an established team of friendly support staff who are committed to making a difference.

As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be supporting students who have struggled to engage in mainstream education and require additional support. This school has been recognised for its outstanding contributions to students with SEMH needs. Leadership are supportive an teaching staff deliver engaging lessons that stretch and inspire students. This role requires a Teaching Assistant who has previously worked with SEMH or challenging behaviours.

Job Role:

  • Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of KS4 children with SEMH needs.
  • Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs.
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant.
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils.
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours.
