HSEQ Manager - with FTTH or Utilities or Construction Industry experience

Looking for an experienced NEBOSH Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager who has worked within either a FTTH (Fibre to the Home) or Utilities or similar Construction Projects organisation.

Must be knowledgeable around issues like PPE, safe working practices in Civils / construction type environments, understand required training and H&S tickets and be used to maintaining documentation and company compliance with all standards.

You will be joining a H&S team of 2, in a growing organisation with around 200 FTE's and 150 Sub-contractors who are delivering projects on behalf of BT / Openreach upgrading the telecoms infrastructure networks to Fibre.

Projects are across the South East, you must be flexible to travel to project areas. Head office (1 day per week) is in the Brighton area, projects are currently across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, London, Essex and Hampshire.

As the Health and Safety Manager you will be advising, enforcing and training staff undertaking both Civils and Telecoms cabling tasks.
You will also be responsible for H&S in a number of stores / yards strategically based providing logistic support to the field teams.

Standard hours 08:30 - 17:00 Mon - Fri with some flexibility required at weekends for emergencies.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Likely to be in the region of £35 - £55K + Car / Allowance.

  • have a full UK drivers licence
  • have worked as a Health and Safety Advisor / Manager in a similar industry (Telecoms / Utilities or Construction)
  • have H&S knowledge and training including NEBOSH
  • be willing to travel and work 1 day a week in the head office
