SALARY

  • Daily rate From: £450 PAYE
  • Daily rate To: £582 Umbrella

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Traffic Management Order Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Project managing and overseeing the introduction of Traffic Management Orders on our client's housing land
  • Leading the day-to-day, developmental, and strategic support to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Rolling out new Traffic Management Orders on housing estates
  • Working creatively with residents and partners to engage on our client's policies
  • Undertaking duties in relation to the development and review of existing off-street parking policy and procedures
  • Liaising with residents to consult and give notice of establishing Traffic Management Orders and estate parking enforcement
  • Reviewing and approving Traffic Management Plans
  • Coordinating with contractors to mark out new parking bays and install relevant signage
  • Issuing new and replacement parking permits on estate sites
  • Working with other sections of the organisation and external bodies to develop and review Traffic Management Order policies
  • Undertaking enforcement action when necessary
  • Investigating cases and preparing responses to enquiries
  • Managing and providing guidance in dealing with parking policy and appeals against Penalty Charge Notices
  • Supplying complex data and information to stakeholders
  • Undertaking additional duties and responsibilities as required

ESSENTIAL (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE):

  • Comprehensive knowledge of unauthorised off-street parking enforcement using Traffic Management Orders (TMOs) under the Traffic Management Act 2004
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety Legislation and commitment to safety standards
  • Experience in the traffic and transportation sector and contract administration
  • Financial/budgetary experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments, partners, and stakeholders
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a changing work environment

DESIRABLE (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience with staff training and development
  • Experience in presenting reports to senior managers and members
  • Experience in engaging with HR and Trades Union representatives
  • Knowledge of performance standards and targets within set timescales
  • Innovative and creative problem-solving skills
