The Role
We are seeking a proactive and driven Corporate Tax Senior to join our client's corporation tax team. This role is perfect for someone with experience in a tax department who is looking to further specialize in corporation tax, taking on more responsibility and building a solid career within a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be ATT qualified or working toward their CTA qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a corporate portfolio, preparing tax returns for companies, partnerships, and non-resident landlords.
  • Liaise with audit teams to ensure tax-sensitive issues are correctly addressed in the accounts.
  • Ensure the timely submission of returns to HMRC and guide clients on payments, including any penalties or interest due.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, attending client meetings as necessary.
  • Assist with tax planning and advisory matters, working closely with tax managers and partners.
  • Manage work-in-progress (WIP) and client portfolios, keeping workflows updated.
  • Collaborate with clients and HMRC to resolve queries efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle ad hoc tax matters, ensuring compliance with firm procedures and department objectives.

Skills and Experience Required

  • ATT qualified or progressing towards CTA.
  • At least 3 years' experience working in a tax department within an accountancy firm.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax compliance and relevant legislation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using CCH software is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team.
