We are inviting applications for the role of Geography Teacher at our vibrant and forward-thinking school in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator with a passion for geography and a commitment to delivering high-quality education. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching geography across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, and preparing students for their GCSE and A-Level examinations.

Day to day of the role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging geography lessons that stimulate students' interest and understanding of the subject.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching practices and resources.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events, contributing to the vibrant school community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Experience teaching geography at secondary school level, including preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest educational research and teaching strategies.
