We are currently seeking a Legal Secretary to join our team of law specialists. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for providing exceptional secretarial and administrative support, and who thrives in a collaborative environment that values trust, expertise, and a commitment to excellence.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide typing, secretarial, and administrative support to the team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Assist with digital dictation and administrative support in line with the company's workflow ethic.
  • Transcribe and prepare correspondence and documents through audiotyping and word processing, utilising company precedents where appropriate.
  • Manage case files effectively, including electronic document storage, file opening, and archiving.
  • Handle administrative routines such as scanning, faxing, printing, and photocopying.
  • Manage client/matter files efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate general filing.
  • Deal with client communications professionally, both in person and via telephone, maintaining the company's standards for client care.
  • Organise appointments, arrange meetings, and maintain diaries, including providing refreshments as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with administrative systems and procedures, particularly in financial management, time recording, bill preparation, and correspondence.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company and client information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a legal secretary or secretary, including the use of digital dictation tools.
  • Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Typing speed of at least 65 wpm with 90% accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, including spelling and punctuation.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving attitude with a "can-do" approach and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of fee-earners' work within a professional organisation.
