Duties & Responsibilities of the Projects Management Accountant will include:
- Prepare or support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting
- Prepare, analyse and reconcile P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
- Conduct financial modelling to predict future financial performance
- Intercompany reconciliations, both P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
- Investigating and correcting imbalances
- Flagging differences to budget to the relevant stakeholders
- Liaising with Treasury/AP/AR teams to ensure timely payments are made and are allocated appropriately
- Support internal and external group and statutory audits
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts by working with stakeholders and managers
- Identify relevant and beneficial best practice from internal and external sources
- Support implementation of new technologies to streamline financial operations
Key Skills & Experience:
- Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) – exams and experience complete
- Experience of working in a financial reporting environment in a medium-sized or large organisation
- Proven ability to manage own workload to ensure that activities are correctly prioritised
- Strong knowledge of management and financial accounting principles
- Detailed knowledge of the main Microsoft applications
- Experience of working within the Financial sector (preferable)
