Projects Management Accountant

Elevation Senior Finance are excited to be partnering with a leading financial services business, based in Leeds as they look to recruit a Projects Management Accountant into their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Projects Management Accountant will include:

  • Prepare or support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting
  • Prepare, analyse and reconcile P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
  • Conduct financial modelling to predict future financial performance
  • Intercompany reconciliations, both P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
  • Investigating and correcting imbalances
  • Flagging differences to budget to the relevant stakeholders
  • Liaising with Treasury/AP/AR teams to ensure timely payments are made and are allocated appropriately
  • Support internal and external group and statutory audits
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts by working with stakeholders and managers
  • Identify relevant and beneficial best practice from internal and external sources
  • Support implementation of new technologies to streamline financial operations

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) – exams and experience complete
  • Experience of working in a financial reporting environment in a medium-sized or large organisation
  • Proven ability to manage own workload to ensure that activities are correctly prioritised
  • Strong knowledge of management and financial accounting principles
  • Detailed knowledge of the main Microsoft applications
  • Experience of working within the Financial sector (preferable)
