Location: Farnworth, Bolton

Salary: Starting at £26,676 per annum (negotiable with experience)

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Working Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 Friday 07:30 to 12:50

Heatrod Elements Ltd are looking for a Production Technician to join our team working at our site in Farnworth, Bolton. Start date would be immediate and the role will be permanent.

Based in Farnworth, Bolton we are the leading manufacturer of heating elements and associated process heating equipment that's required in domestic and industrial applications.

The role is primarily to oversee one of our value streams working with the team to ensure that our products are manufactured in a timely manner and to the best quality. Part of the role is also to train/support the Production operatives.

What we'd like you to do:

  • Become part of our production team, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • Work according to the SOPs which are applicable to the particular role
  • Train the operatives/apprentices to the agreed standards
  • Manufacture of our products to documented specifications
  • Adhere closely to the production schedule
  • Be the technical expert on specialist equipment and processes
  • Be involved in the scrap reduction activities
  • Set up and run all machinery and equipment
  • Cleaning of machinery and equipment after completion
  • Complete documentation as appropriate
  • Take part in daily meetings with the Production Manager

  • Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement
  • An understanding of Manufacturing and Engineering operations
  • Be IT literate
