Project Engineer

Summary

Working within the service team, the Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of multiple service projects in accordance with agreed schedules and within budget. They will own the project from receipt of the purchase order through to completion.

Location: North Yorkshire, On-site

Remuneration: £32,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

What knowledge do you need?

  • Experience of managing multiple production projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in evaluating technical requirements and providing viable solutions.
  • Commercially aware of the effective use of resources, scope change, and implications of choice.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, adjusting approach or communication channel to suit the circumstances.

What skills and qualifications are required for success?

  • Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities, demands, and timelines simultaneously.
  • HNC, HND, or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite, including MS Project.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the project, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing communications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Understand and communicate contractual requirements, monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure project deliverables meet ISO14001, ISO9001, and OHSAS18001 standards, while staying on time, within quality standards, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with the Accounts team to manage payment schedules, ensuring timely requests at key stages of the project.
  • Regularly produce and update project status documents, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address high-risk project elements, manage manufacturing, solve component issues, and meet delivery targets in line with ISO standards.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO14001, ISO9001, and OHSAS18001, support continuous improvement, and uphold company values of respect, integrity, trust, and excellence in all interactions.
