Our client, a London Borough Council, in the Social Care & Health sector, is seeking a Senior Commissioning Officer - ICES Lead to join their team in London. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Commissioning Officer - ICES Lead, you will be responsible for:

1. Leading the end-to-end strategic delivery of integrated commissioning, transformation, and service improvement programmes/projects in collaboration with London Borough team and ICB.

2. Planning, supporting, and delivering commissioning projects, ensuring the development and delivery of high-quality health and social care services through performance and contract management.

3. Gathering and analysing information from various sources to assess the needs of social care and health services, mapping service provision, and providing an evidence-based foundation for strategic planning and service development.

4. Assisting in the preparation of written briefings, committee reports, and contributing to written reports and plans being developed by managers.

5. Coordinating the involvement of stakeholders, carers, and clients in the development of commissioning strategies, particularly for the Integrated Community Equipment Service, to ensure robust, sustainable, and needs-based commissioning activity.

6. Facilitating and supporting Equipment Prescriber access to the Integrated Equipment Service.

7. Leading and project managing new commissioning arrangements using project management tools and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Proven experience in strategic delivery of integrated commissioning, transformation, and service improvement activities.
  • Strong understanding of health and social care services and the ability to gather and analyse data to inform needs assessment and strategic planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to produce briefings, reports, and contribute to plans.
  • Ability to coordinate stakeholders and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Project management experience and strong organisational skills.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience in the Social Care & Health industry.
  • Knowledge of commissioning strategies and contract management.
  • Proficiency with relevant technologies, such as project management tools and IT systems.

Technologies:

  • Proficiency in relevant project management tools and IT systems.
