What will your typical day look like? Different that's for sure...

We've built Tech Delivery team's here at Atom, these teams create new features that our customers love and automate our internal processes, so that our colleagues don't have to things manually. These Tech Delivery teams are tasked with managing and delivering all change at Atom, technical & non-technical.

Our teams are made up of people with different skill sets ensuring cross-functional and high performant teams who guide us on our mission of making banking better for everyone. We've aligned these Tech Delivery teams to business Value Streams covering Mortgages, Business Lending, Savings, Enterprise, and Platform.

As a Project Manager, you'll be aligned to a Value Stream to manage and lead projects to implement technical and non-technical change aligned within Tech Delivery. You'll shape and drive projects ensuring delivery is achieved consistently against planning goals and within the agreed scope and budget.

As an Atom Project Manager, ideally, you'll have experience working with Agile Delivery teams and experience using traditional project management methods to deliver deadline driven projects with exceptional stakeholder management & communication skills and be a proactive self-starter to drive change outcomes.

You will:

  • Manage the delivery and implementation of assigned projects.
  • Shape and establish governance of projects aligned to the Atom change framework.
  • Create clear delivery plans, identifying dependencies, risks, and critical paths.
  • Create resource plans aligned to project outcomes.
  • Adopt agile practices where applicable to enable speed of value delivery.
  • Lead project workshops and facilitate collaborative discussion and decision making.
  • Demonstrate good project control through documentation, RAID management.
  • Ensure quality is evidenced throughout the project lifecycle from requirements through to testing and implementation.
  • Deliver technology change into production safely considering non-functional aspects such as security and performance.
  • Manage business change effectively, ensuring operational acceptance by Operational teams, training and process changes are considered.

What do we need from you?

  • Good knowledge and experience in how to deliver technology change within a regulated environment.
  • Degree level qualified.
  • Certified agile qualification.
  • Member of a professional organisation e.g. Prince2/MSP/APM etc.
  • Strong experience of managing technology change projects working with agile delivery teams.
  • Strong business change & service transition experience.
  • Experience of delivering 3rd party implementations.
  • Experience in agile delivery techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to gain trust and respect from colleagues.
  • Resourceful and hands on, able to be flexible in responsibilities to keep things moving.
  • Great influencing and negotiating skills.
