Halcyon Care Dorset Ltd is searching for a passionate, enthusiastic and supportive Residential Manager in Dorset

Position: Children's Residential Manager

Location: Bournemouth

Working hours: Full time. You must be available to commit to working across a variety of shifts on a rota.

Salary: £55 000.00 - 65 000.00 per annum

This role could be for you if you have;

A caring and patient nature.

Excellent communication skills.

The ability to work under pressure.

Previous experience of working in a children's home setting preferred, but not essential.

The home provide a safe and nurturing home for children where they can receive specialist therapeutic care allowing them the opportunity to reach their potential and thrive.

The focus will be on the core values of being non-judgemental, providing care and empathy and accepting each child as a unique individual, Recognising that in order to offer outstanding service, the needs of the individual must lie at the heart of everything you do.

A 5 bedded residential home for children aged between 8 years and to 18 years working alongside children on long term placement.

A supportive wellbeing and psychological team will be onboard to help provide the children with ongoing nurturing support.

Key Responsbilities;

You will be overseeing the day to day operations of the home in accordance with OFSTED regulations.

Work with key organisations to drive the development of the home.

Lead and support staff, continuously improving the standards and practices in line with compliance procedures and relevant legislations.

What we are looking for;

Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care (or equivalent).

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in residential childcare and 2 years in a managerial role (Deputy Manager/Team Leader considered)

Skills: Excellent communication, decision-making under pressure, and a strong team player.

Requirements: UK driving license and access to a vehicle. Evidence of the right to work in the UK.
