Job Title: Finance Business Partner
Reports into: Senior Financial Controller
Main Job Purpose: Responsible for accurate and timely Financial Reporting, underpinned by a robust control environment
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing and overseeing the finance and accounting function, implementing financial controls to mitigate risks and seeking continual improvement of financial reporting.
- End to end production of monthly management accounts, including all accruals and prepayments, stock and revenue reconciliations.
- Reporting and preparation of both financial and non-financial KPI's, to articulate the performance of the business against budget and forecasts.
- Ensure that proper and adequate financial and business processes are in place to support the financial control of the business.
- Management of supplier payments and allocation of customer receipts to ensure accurate monitoring of aged debtors and creditors with credit limit decision making authority.
- Preparation of weekly cash flow.
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
- Responsible for all cash management,
- Support and drive the development of ERP system improvements.
- Primary contact for the annual audit of the division, ensuring year end accounts are prepared accurately and in-line with current accounting standards.
- Preparation of forecast and budgets as required.
- Business Partner to the Operations Manager, helping to drive profit improvement projects and identify opportunities for improved reporting e.g. labour variance reporting and sales margin reporting.
- Working closely with the Senior Financial controller to develop and refine the costing models to ensure accurate pricing is supplied to customers.
- Other ad hoc tasks and support for the business.
Work Hours / Place of Work / Annual Leave:
- Monday to Thursday 08:15 to 16:15 and Friday 08:15 to 13:45 (37.5 hrs per week)
- 24 days plus 8 Statutory Bank Holidays
- Hybrid working available
Experience & Qualifications:
- CIMA Part Qualified / Newly Qualified / Qualified by Experience
- Experience working within manufacturing is essential
- Ability to work independently when required, yet have an appetite to immerse themselves in the business as a whole
- A drive to continually improve processes and procedures
- Advanced Excel skills
- Effective communication skills
