Hays are excited to be partnering with this public services organisation, who are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As the FP&A Analyst, you will provide senior management with a forecast of the organisation's cash flow, profit and loss.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for financial management and reporting of your business areas costs
- Providing support to stakeholders across the division on expenditure, budgeting, budget applications, forecasting and reporting of costs
- Collate and produce month-end journals for accruals, balance sheet reconciliation, staff recharges and summary utilisation report
- Provide quarterly billing and reconciliation of project spends, produce invoices and project spend reports
- Monitor costs to ensure they are within budget
- Provide detailed analysis and commentary on your business area and division results.
- Manage the cash flow forecast
- Review existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts
What you'll need to succeed
- Finalist or newly qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA or ACCA)
- Experience of Workday (Preferable)
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes
- Proficient with excel and financial modelling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
