VAT Assistant Manager (Advisory Role)

An established accounting, tax, and business advisory firm is seeking a VAT Assistant Manager to join their team. Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Assist the VAT Director & VAT Manager with technical VAT advisory work.
- Manage smaller VAT advisory queries and projects, aligning with skill set.
- Advise and support the compliance team.
- Provide support to the Tax Disputes & Resolution team on complex HMRC negotiations.
- Contribute to VAT training within the firm.
- Help develop and implement VAT marketing initiatives.
- Build relationships within an international network to support and source new work.
- Aid in the development of the VAT offering, targeting new sectors and technical VAT areas.
- Quote and budget for VAT work and manage billing processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-5 years' experience in providing VAT advice.
- Knowledge in areas such as property development, construction, VAT inspection, and cross-border VAT rules is advantageous.
- Personable, approachable, and keen to engage in marketing initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and billing software.
- University or professional qualifications in Accountancy, Law, or Tax are beneficial.
