Assistant Accountant

Liverpool - Hybrid
Salary:
£30,000 (dependent on experience) + company benefits
Hours:
40 hours per week (flexible working hours)

Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Assisting with Year-End Accounting (knowledge of some aspects with a desire to develop further)
- Bank reconciliations
- Client communication via email and telephone
- Monitoring and ensuring adherence to VAT return deadlines
Requirements:
- AAT Qualified or Part Qualified, or previous experience in an accountancy firm
- Good GCSE/A Level results (C grade or above)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with any of the following software is advantageous: Sage Line 50, Xero, Sage Online, QuickBooks, CCH
