On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Pre-Construction Coordinator to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all pre-construction activities are managed efficiently, supporting the smooth transition from planning to execution. The successful candidate will work closely with the SHEQ Manager and Operations team to ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards, while also managing project handover packs and other critical documentation.

Pre-Construction Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and coordination of pre-construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and documentation preparation.
  • Collaborate with the SHEQ Manager to ensure all safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) standards are met during the pre-construction phase.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of SHEQ documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and site audits.
  • Help manage and update SHEQ compliance records, ensuring all project documentation aligns with current regulations and company standards.
  • Ensure all pre-construction activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure all pre-construction compliance documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Prepare and compile comprehensive project handover packs, including all necessary documentation, certificates, and manuals.
  • Coordinate with project managers and site teams to gather and organise all required information for handover packs.
  • Manage and organize all pre-construction documentation, ensuring accurate records are maintained and easily accessible.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and project proposals.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication throughout the pre-construction phase.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings, taking detailed notes and following up on action items as required.
  • Support the project team with administrative tasks and coordination efforts to ensure projects move seamlessly from pre-construction to execution.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a pre-construction, construction coordination or document control role is essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
