Maintenance Engineering & Facilities Manager

Altro have a rarely available opportunity for an Maintenance Engineering & Facilities Manager to join the operational team based here in Letchworth Garden City. This is a full time, permanent role where you will work predominantly on site.

So as a Maintenance Engineering & Facilities Manager, what will you be doing? You will manage both the maintenance engineers and facilities team who provide both a reactive and pro-active multi skilled service on all of our operational manufacturing equipment and head office site services and infrastructure.

You will be responsible to ensuring the teams compliance with all security and safety regulations, planning the scheduling of tasks and ensuring these works are carried out in a timely manner. This also includes the management of any external contractors.

Who are we looking for? You will have formal engineering training such as an apprenticeship scheme or a HNC/HND in an engineering discipline, an electrical qualification such as 18th edition and ideally PLC training to a level of fault diagnoses. Previous experience of developing and managing a team and the ability to demonstrate success in this area.
