Business Development Manager

Are you a proven Sales / Account Manager within the Travel Industry? Do you have a strong track record building and securing new partnerships? If so, we have the role for you!

We are working with a well-established Travel / Corporate Travel company, who are looking for a proven Sales Manager to join their team in Central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and expanding our network of Independent Travel Advisors and securing new corporate travel accounts for our Independent Travel Advisors. This role requires a strategic, pro-active thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential corporate clients and new independent travel advisors.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to understand client needs and industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing independent travel advisors, providing them with tools and support they need to succeed within the company and new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Create customized travel proposals and negotiate contracts to secure new business.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, networking functions to promote the company
  • Leverage existing networks and create new connections to drive business growth.
  • Work closely with marketing team to develop new sales materials and promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with all company support departments to ensure seamless onboarding of New Advisors and accounts.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with US Sales and ASO teams on regular basis to support globalization of accounts and new business opportunities.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:

  • Proven success and experience as a sales Manager
  • 3+ years in Corporate Travel experience and existing contact base
  • Hands-on experience in securing new business sales.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office (Salesforce and Excel in particular)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time.
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, where necessary.
  • Detail orientated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Attending weekly sales meetings

The Package:

  • Gross annual Salary - £48,000

  • A Commission Scheme for any new business based on net income generated only in year one and two from trading: 20% in the first year / 10% in year two

  • Hybrid position (Central London)
