IBA Cash Team Leader

Here at Jensten, we are looking to recruit an IBA Cash Team Leader.

In this role, you will ensure the smooth running of the team to enable it to provide an efficient IBA function, with 2 IBA Technicians reporting into you. As this is a hands-on role, you will also have your own caseload.

You will be joining a fantastic wider team that is the heartbeat of our finance function with a head office in Huntingdon. However, for the right candidate, this position can be based remotely but we have pockets of IBA experience in all four corners of the UK and you are always welcome in one of our Regional offices with hubs in Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, London and Swindon.

Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:

  • Line management, support, mentoring and performance management of IBA Technicians
  • Handle Client payment reconciliations and following up any discrepancies
  • Ensure unallocated cash is kept to a minimum and following up any queries
  • Ensure credit control deadlines are followed and chasing aged debt
  • Assist with Client Money audits
  • Ensure CASS compliance at all times and adhere to FCA client money rules

About you:

As our IBA Cash Team Leader, you will need to have experience of reconciling complex client accounts. This is a great position for someone that and experience IBA technician, looking to step up into a Team Leader role and carry out 1-2-1 and appraisals with team members. You will also have the ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally stakeholders.

You'll also be or have:

  • CASS 5 and Client Money experience
  • A good understanding of IBA procedures and ideally have knowledge and experience of using Acturis and any other IBA Broking systems
  • A collaborative and innovative approach to working
  • Act with integrity at all times when working with stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and forecasting
  • Strong accuracy and time management skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient level of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge
  • A self-starter, with the ability to work effectively from home, with limited supervision and the ability to multitask and meet required deadlines
