Salary: £37,000-£40,000 per annum, plus twice-yearly bonus
Location: Hilton Hall, Hilton Lane, Essington, Wolverhampton, WV11 2BQ

We are looking for a confident and experienced HR Advisor to join our friendly team based at Hilton Hall. The ideal candidate will have experience within a HR Advisor or HR Consultant role with a good all round generalist HR background.

The HR Associate will work in a consultancy capacity, advising and supporting our clients with a range of HR matters, amongst other responsibilities as set out below.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting clients with HR related queries over email, phone and Teams
  • Conducting new client HR consultation meetings at the client's premises, to understand their current HR practices and needs, and producing a HR best practice action plan
  • Conducting existing HR client reviews, and reviewing their action plans
  • Producing and reviewing employment contracts templates and employee handbooks
  • Undertaking Omnia (HR System) training sessions with clients and supporting with software queries
  • Supporting with the on-going development of the Omnia HR system, carrying out testing, uploading new clients and general up-keep
  • Providing on-site client HR support such as disciplinary and grievance meetings
  • Undertaking bespoke work for clients such as letter, contract and policy writing
  • Producing HR training material and delivering HR training sessions
  • Keeping abreast of employment legislation and case law, advising clients and producing wording for blog/social media/newsletter content
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required by management

Essential requirements for the role:

  • Experience gained within a HR advisory role, advising managers and staff on a range of general HR issues
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law, Acas guidance and HR best practice
  • Car owner, drives with valid UK driving licence - there are limited walking/bus routes to the office, and you will be required to visit client locations in the Midlands (Wolverhampton and local surrounding towns are ideal)
  • Strong communication and relationship building capabilities
  • Good computer skills - proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Enthusiastic and takes pride and ownership in their work
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task

Desirable attributes for the role:

  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or higher
  • Experience within a HR consultancy role
  • Experience of writing and delivering training
