Reeson Education is currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Lambeth. The role involves providing dedicated support to students with Autism (ASC), ensuring they receive the guidance and assistance they need to thrive in a mainstream school setting.

Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to deliver tailored support to students with ASC. Your role will be crucial in helping these students engage with the curriculum, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specialised Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Autism, adapting learning activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Behavioural Management: Implement effective strategies to manage and encourage positive behaviour, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other staff members to create and maintain Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that address each student's specific needs.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess the progress of students with ASC, adjusting support strategies as needed and providing feedback to the teaching team.
  • Inclusion: Foster an inclusive classroom environment where students with ASC feel safe, supported, and able to participate fully in school life.
