Job Responsibilities:

  1. PO/Order Management:
  • Receive and log new Purchase Orders (POs) into the business tracking system.

  • Ensure all necessary documentation is attached, including work details, sketches, technical drawings, etc.

  1. Technical Review:
  • Review and interpret the details from the work order, including sketches, blueprints, and technical drawings.

  • Extract critical data such as dimensions, angles, and other specifications.

  1. Programming Using CAM Duct:
  • Input the extracted information (dimensions, angles, figures) into CAM Duct to generate 3D and 2D models of the ductwork.

  • Ensure the accuracy of the designs, including any required features like access doors or reinforcement areas.

  1. Plasma Machine Programming:
  • Generate a cutting program for the plasma machine using the data processed through CAM Duct.

  • Verify that the cutting paths and programs meet the specified order requirements.

  1. Quality Control:
  • Perform checks to ensure that all technical specifications are met and ensure proper documentation and setup of the manufacturing process.
  1. Release for Production:
  • Once verified, save the project and release it for production, ensuring all steps are properly documented.
  1. Tracker Update:
  • Update the tracking system with the progress, including marking when the design has been released for production.
  1. Repeat for Next PO/Order:
  • Proceed to the next Purchase Order or work request in the queue.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in CAM Duct or similar CAD/CAM software for sheet metal work.

  • Familiarity with plasma cutting machines and how to generate cutting paths.

  • Basic understanding of technical drawings and the ability to interpret work orders and technical sketches.

  • Attention to Detail:

  • Accuracy in entering dimensional data and double-checking for features like reinforcement areas and access doors.

  • Experience:

  • Background in sheet metal fabrication or ductwork design is advantageous.

  • Previous experience with CAM systems, programming for manufacturing, or similar technical roles.
