Trailer Sales Manager – North of England – Salary DOE

Montracon are recruiting for a Trailer Sales Manager to join their successful sales team, ideally based in the North of England.

Key Responsibilities of a Trailer Sales Manager:

  • Coordinate sales activities within area of responsibility to ensure the business meets its company sales targets and objectives, ensuring client relationships are maintained at the highest levels
  • Manage the development of the sales function within area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate a good sales pipeline to the Senior Management team
  • Involvement in all technical matters as well as the overall point of contact for sales enquiries
  • Liaise with clients on a daily basis
  • The above list is not an exhaustive list of duties and the postholder will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by their changing role and overall business objectives in the organisaiton.
  • Secure customer commitment in specifying the company's products and services, and manage the complete sales lifecycle.
  • Provide first class end-to-end customer support, from enquiry through to installation and operation of products and services packages.
  • Provide customer quotations as required, in line with margin targets.
  • Gather market intelligence from customers in order to influence and improve company sales strategy.
  • Ensure the customer database is maintained at all times.
  • Maintain and increasing sales of company products
  • Achieve targets and goals set for your area
  • Establish, maintain and expand your customer base identifying new accounts
  • Servicing the needs of your existing customers
  • Increase business opportunities through various routes to market
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing material and events.
  • Achieve regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Prepare and completing action plans, implementing customer-service standards, resolving problems, identifying trends, determining regional sales system improvements, implementing change.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks.

Ideal Trailer Sales Manager:

  • A sales professional with a proven track record and knowledge of fleet operators
  • A background within a fleet sales role is preferred,
  • Vehicle technical knowledge would be a distinct advantage
  • A technical understanding or appreciation of the commercial fleet sector is highly desirable.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to effectively build and maintain business relationships at all levels.
  • Pro-active in identifying and generating new business opportunities against sales and profitability targets.
