Procurement Assistant

My client is looking for a driven individual with a passion for learning and growing within a procurement/supply chain environment. As a Procurement Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement department, aligning with the business values to deliver an unrivalled customer experience and professional service.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare and process purchase orders
  • Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Communicate with suppliers for quotes, price negotiations and arranging product samples.
  • Maintain and develop positive relationships with suppliers
  • Provide support to the wider operational team
  • Manage inventory levels in the warehouse
  • Handle returns for faulty or unwanted items,
  • Monitor procurement budgets and contribute to cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure the warehouse is well-maintained, clean and compliant with health & safety regulations.
  • Manage recycled goods in accordance to sustainability policy.
  • Generate procurement reports, analyse performance, and identify areas for improvement.
