We are delighted to work with an international consultancy business based in Central London looking to hire a Part Qualified Project Accountant to start immediately on a minimum 1 year fixed term contract. You will be responsible for all aspects of the financial management and reporting of a portfolio of international projects and contribute to the general financial management.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all expenditure and revenue for projects.
- Manage project accounts and Accounts Receivable invoicing in line with contract requirements.
- Assist with project forecasts
- Provide accurate and timely project financial reporting
- Provide advice and support to Project Managers relating to accounting and finance management.
- Develop and maintain tools and procedures for preparation of budgets, project forecasts and financial proposals.
- Assist with month end procedures and reporting.
- Review and process invoices and credit notes ensuring correct coding.
- Preparing and loading payment runs, in accordance with payment terms.
- Review and approval of expense claims as well as subsequent expense reimbursement.
- Balance sheet & account reconciliations, including credit/debit card charges.
- Accrual journals and prepayments.
Experience & Skills required
- Part-Qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with 10 years of relevant experience;
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office skills.
- Experience with DeltekCostpoint, DeltekMacomony or SAP would be beneficial
- Previous experience of working for a consultancy/project management company is essential.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
