Business Analyst / PMO (KYC, Financial Crime, Compliance) - Banking Client - London

Duration: 1 year

Rate: £500 - £600 (Inside of IR35)

Remote Working is allowed - 1 day in the London office required

The Role:

The role as Business Analyst was created to deliver against our strategic objectives and to comply with regulatory expectations to adopt and enforce the highest Financial Crime and Sanctions compliance and behavioural standards across UK & International.

The role holder is reporting to the Financial Crime Transformation Manager and this role requires a strong Business Analyst with experience within an PMO environment.
This role will also involve liaising closely with the 1st line Financial Crime Managers as well as 2nd line Legal and Compliance teams on matters involving all aspects of KYC, Sanction & Adverse Media Screening, Fraud and Transaction Monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Support with coordination of respective project activities and milestones and updating project plans
  • Communication of progress to stakeholders across the transformation workstreams and to the Financial Crime Change Forum
  • Work closely with individual workstreams to support with design and requirements gathering process
  • Consolidating all progress reports and risks and issues, and incorporating feedback from Project Manager and workstream leads
  • Providing support to workstreams in the rollout and delivery of key initiatives and development of supporting material
  • Prepare minutes and papers for governance forums

Your profile

  • Experience within the Financial Service industry, ideally within the financial crime/ risk function in a regulated firm.
  • Experience in Project Management Office (PMO) support activities
  • Knowledge of Financial Crime technology/systems/processes
  • The ability to identify wider business impacts or opportunities across key outputs and processes, and develop business requirements to support project delivery
  • Ability to work unaided on tasks and manage their own time to meet deadlines.
  • The role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of personnel with differing expertise and backgrounds as part of project workstreams.
  • Ability to effectively interpret, analyse and report on complex data sets from multiple sources and present information in a concise and easy to read format
  • Experience using MS Office (e.g. Excel, PPT, Outlook and Teams).
  • Analytical Skills - has the ability to visualise, articulate and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems by making logical decisions given the available information.
  • Strong communication skills, with an eye for detail, ability to proactively engage with others in a professional manner, able to share information and work as a team, with an ability to articulate clearly verbally and via written communications.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates sound judgement and makes confident and reasoned arguments
