Pricebook Manager

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the company's price book, ensuring that all product and service pricing is accurate, competitive, and aligned with company strategy. The Price Book Manager will lead a team, coordinate with various departments, and ensure that pricing data supports the company's sales, marketing, and financial goals. Ensuring all invoices received are at the agreed contractual price. You will ensure that all Vendor RPI or other increases are forecasted/tracked, and all stakeholders informed of the impact of increases and recommend mitigation to protect and maximise margins.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Price Book Management: Lead the company development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company's Vendor Price & RRP price book, ensuring all pricing information is current and accurate.
  • Rebates & Discounts: As part of the price book development process ensure Rebates & Discounts are correctly recorded and monitored to highlight potential over & under performance to allow mitigations to take place.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of price book administrators, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Pricing Strategy: Work closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement pricing strategies that are competitive and align with business objectives.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to ensure pricing consistency and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to inform pricing decisions and ensure the company's offerings remain competitive.
  • Compliance: Ensure all pricing activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting: Generate and present detailed reports on pricing performance, trends, and impacts to senior management and wider business.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve pricing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in pricing software, databases, and advanced Excel functions.

Hybrid-Working Policy

You will be contracted to work from the office however, Babble operates a non-contractual Hybrid Working Policy whereby you will be required to be in the office on company anchor days (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) and will be able to work from home on Wednesday and Friday. Unless your role has different requirements.

The recruitment journey

We want to fill this role quickly, but we want to get the right person. The recruitment process will consist of a screening call with the "hiring manager". If you proceed past this then you will have an interview with the hiring manager and possibly one other member of the Executive Leadership Team / management team.
